Candidates for this position should have subject matter expertise in architecting and implementing cloud solution architectures that run on public, private, and hybrid cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, and Azure including aspects like compute, network, storage, and security. Candidates should have intermediate-level skills for administering AWS. Candidates should understand AWS development and DevOps processes.
Responsibilities for this role include leading cloud architecture reviews, consulting and advising stakeholders on suitable or more suitable cloud architectures that take into consideration resiliency, performance, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization to satisfy non-functional, business, and regulatory requirements; as well as developing recommended cloud architectures for selected systems. Responsibilities also include collaborating with team members to help accelerate cloud migrations and application modernization by providing infrastructure / cloud solution architecture leadership.
A candidate for this role should have advanced experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platform, budgeting, and governance-this role should manage how decisions in each area affect an overall solution. In addition, this role should have expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) and previous experience with software engineering.
Previous cloud architecture consulting experience and degree in computer science preferred.
