We are looking for motivated java developers to join our team that manages a key order management system (OMS) in JPM. This OMS handles client orders across various product lines and integrates with various upstream / downstream systems to support end to end trade cycle. Business depends heavily on the reliability and performance of this high volume / high throughput OMS system. At the same time, this system needs to continuously adapt to ever changing market landscape and respond quickly to client demands.
As part of this team, you will be partnering with various stakeholders in business/technology domain to understand new requirements and convert those into performant and scalable technology solutions. You’ll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Excellent understanding of Core Java concepts, including object-oriented design, memory management, multi-threading, and new language features up to Java 8.
Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, resiliency, & application security.
* Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices is a plus
* Understanding of FIX Protocol and Trade lifecycle is a plus
