As an Application Support professional, your dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. In this role, you’ll oversee application issues, including troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving. You’ll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you’ll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary, and staffing issues. You’ll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global network of innovators.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
5+ years of Java/J2EE application development experience
10+ years of application environment support experience
Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
Good understanding of Spring and related components used to deploy RESTful services
Experience with IDE (Integrated Development Environment), including using Eclipse/IntelliJ for development and local testing/debugging.
Experience with Build and Integration Tools, including knowledge of JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins and BitBucket
Performance and log analysis tools including Dynatrace and Splunk
Basic understanding of servers, network, storage and databases
Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
Engage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes
Working knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks)
Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
Worked on ticketing applications to manage tickets related to production deployments window, app to app OAuth resources, firewalls requests etc
Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
Experience in managing Risk and Security related application audits
Ability to address application audit issues in timely manner
Scheduling and tracking various activities such as penetration tests, performance tests, AOS etc for the application
Worked on application resource tracking systems to ensure resources are updated and are in sync with various systems
Proficiency in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
